Talent
Senior Recruiter, QA Track
Full-timeRemote — US
About the role
Own the candidate side of our QA practice — sourcing, vetting, prepping, and standing behind QA engineers placed into client engagements. This is a long-arc role for someone who already knows the difference between a manual tester and a contract-testing zealot, and who'd rather place ten engineers carefully than fifty hastily.
Responsibilities
- Source and vet QA candidates across automation, performance, and SDET-level work — primarily Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, REST Assured, JMeter, and K6.
- Run technical screens that go beyond keyword matching. We expect a working understanding of contract testing, flake triage, and modern test architecture.
- Build and maintain relationships with a long-term bench. Most of our best placements come from candidates we've known for two-plus years.
- Prep candidates for client interviews with substance, not scripts.
- Negotiate rates honestly, in plain English, on both sides of the table.
- Stay engaged with placed engineers through the six-month check-in and beyond.
- Collaborate with the Java track recruiter and Operations Lead on cross-staffed engagements.
Qualifications
- 5+ years recruiting in IT staffing or in-house tech recruiting, with at least 2 years focused on QA roles.
- Working vocabulary in QA tooling — you should be able to tell a candidate's story to a hiring manager without leaning on the resume.
- Track record of placements that stuck. We'll ask for retention numbers.
- Calm, deliberate communication style. We are not a firm of high-volume cold callers.
- Comfortable with vendor-network work (MSP/VMS) and direct client relationships.
Nice to have
- Background in QA before recruiting (yes, really — we've hired a few of these, they're excellent).
- Experience with regulated industries (healthcare, financial services, insurance).
- Existing network of senior QA engineers in the US tech market.
Compensation
Base + commission, no draw games. We share comp bands openly during the second conversation.
