Careers at TSH
Working at TSH,
not through TSH.
This page is for joining the TSH internal team — recruiters, interview helpers, and operations. If you’re an engineer looking to be placed through TSH, you’re looking for our candidates page.
№ 01Why join TSH
A small house, deliberately built.
TSH is a fully remote firm of about a dozen people. We’ve grown slowly on purpose. Here’s what working here actually feels like.
№ 01
Calm, not breathless.
We don't run on quarterly hair-on-fire. The pace is deliberate, the deadlines real but reasonable, and the calendar is mostly your own.
№ 02
No-bullshit metrics.
We measure retention, not submissions-per-week. We share comp ranges with the team. We don't gamify anyone's pipeline.
№ 03
Respect for engineers.
Half our team came from engineering. We treat candidates the way we'd want to be treated — which means honest rates, plain English, and nobody gets ghosted.
№ 04
Ownership, not theater.
Small team, real autonomy. If you spot something broken, you get to fix it. If you spot something working, you get to write it down.

Senior Recruiter, QA Track
Own the candidate side of our QA practice — sourcing, vetting, prepping, and standing behind QA engineers placed into client engagements. This is a long-arc role for someone who already knows the difference between a manual tester and a contract-testing zealot, and who'd rather place ten engineers carefully than fifty hastily.

Recruiter, Java Track
Run the candidate pipeline for our Java practice — mid-to-senior backend engineers across Spring, microservices, and platform work. You'll work alongside our QA-track recruiter, sharing a bench, a discipline, and a refusal to spam the market.

Interview Helper — Senior Java Engineer
Part-time contract role for a senior Java engineer who wants to spend a few hours a week helping our candidates prep for technical interviews. You'll run mock interviews, give honest feedback, and occasionally sit in as a technical advisor on our intake calls. This is not a recruiting job. It's a craft job.

Operations Lead
Run the unsexy, load-bearing middle of TSH — contracts, payroll cadence, vendor compliance, candidate onboarding paperwork, and the slow accumulation of internal tooling that lets the recruiting team focus on actually recruiting. This is a senior, autonomous role. We'd like you to help shape it.

№ 03How we hire
Four conversations, no theater.
We hire the way we wish more firms hired: slowly, honestly, and with our cards visible.
Step 01
Intro call
Thirty minutes. We learn your story, you learn ours. No homework, no whiteboard.
Step 02
Deep-dive convo
Ninety minutes with two TSH folks. Real situations, your actual approach. Comp bands shared.
Step 03
Paid trial week
One real week of work, paid at offer rate. We both find out if this fits.
Step 04
Offer
Plain language. Numbers up front. We expect you to negotiate. We won't lowball.
